ShowMeLocal Review Guidelines and Removal Policy
Reviews must describe an authentic, firsthand experience with the business being reviewed. They must be relevant, truthful, and written by someone who does not own or manage the business.
Reviews may not contain:
• Fake, secondhand, misleading, or unrelated information
• Reviews of a business you own or manage
• Defamatory or knowingly false statements
• Abusive, threatening, discriminatory, hateful, or unlawful content
• Personal or private information
• Copyrighted material posted without permission
• Spam, advertising, or promotional content
Reviews that violate these guidelines or the ShowMeLocal Terms of Use may be removed or blocked. ShowMeLocal may also disable reviews for listings associated with suspicious, manipulated, or fraudulent review activity.
Review authors can update or delete their reviews from “My Reviews.” Claimed business owners can reply to ShowMeLocal reviews from the Business Dashboard.
To report a review that violates these guidelines, contact ShowMeLocal Support and include the business listing URL, the review details, and the reason for your request.
These rules apply to reviews posted directly on ShowMeLocal. Reviews from other websites must be handled through the platform where they were originally posted.
